VRChat Archive is a community-run preservation archive for VRChat and Unity assets — avatars, worlds, shaders and unitypackages — in the spirit of the Internet Archive. It saves old, rare and lost VRChat assets so nothing disappears, and offers free tools for VRChat and Unity creators.

Yes. VRChat Archive is free for the VRChat community. You create a free account to access the preserved assets and the creator tools.

Why does VRChat Archive help preserve VRChat assets?

VRChat avatars and worlds are frequently deleted, lost or become unavailable over time. VRChat Archive keeps a durable record so the community's creative history is not lost, similar to how the Internet Archive preserves the web.

Client-side self-defence: anti-crasher clamps (particles, lights, physbones, contacts…) and an anti-Udon guard that suspends a world script behaving like a crasher — without taking the whole world down. Nothing is ever sent to anyone else.
